ENFP 'The Inspirer'

Updated: Jan 10, 2022

Over the past few years, I’ve been trying to understand myself. I’ve always been interested in why I act and behave the way I do, why exceed in something’s more than others and why I get excited about starting projects but never see them through. So my councillor tested me on my personality, he gave me twenty questions, there are more than twenty questions but we chose twenty because our sessions are short. When I was completing the form I had to think about the long term not how I was feeling there and then. After completing the questions my councillor showed me my personality.

I scored more on the Extrovert, iNtuitive, Feeling and Perceiving = ENFP My personality is an Inspirer. When I first saw this I thought to my self ‘that word again’. I’ve always heard people say ‘ you are so inspiring… you inspire me…’ and to see that it’s the name of my personality I was like "woooo…"

ENFP’s are warm, enthusiastic, very bright and full of potential. We live in a world of opportunities and possibilities and we can be very passionate and excited about things. We are good at things that interest us but tend not to finish them as we constantly find a new interest. We are fearful of losing touch of our selves, focused on keeping “centred”, an intense individual with highly evolved values. Most of it I nod my head at because I recognise in my self.

After reading the profile I’ve gained a greater understanding of my self and learned new things. I’m now able to move on to the next stage of my journey to self-discovery. It may sound egotistical but this year it is my goal to discover and be at peace with myself. To achieve ENFP success I’ve highlighted things I need to improve.e.ng plus fun-filled experiences.

Make decisions. Don’t be afraid to have an opinion. I need to know how I feel about things in order to be effective.

Be aware of myself. Don’t strink my own needs for the sake of others. I need to realise I am an important focus. I need to fulfil my own needs.

When in doubt, ask questions. Don’t assume the lack of feedback is the same thing as negative feedback.

Don’t always need to please everyone and work hard to be liked.
